Priority Quest believes employers have a duty of care towards the wellbeing of their employees; this can include both mental and physical health. Implementing tangible measures that support both is a requirement of a modern and responsible organisation and shows a level of care. It has been estimated that an employee will take an average 6.9 absence days a year due to sickness; multiply this figure by an entire workforce and that can have a determinantal impact on how a company is run. Continuous occurrences of absenteeism can also have negative effects on team productivity when colleagues often have to pick up the absentee’s workload.
